Dream Careers Internship Program Academic Credit
All participants receive one unit of academic credit for participating in the Dream Careers internship program. Our accredited academic partners will provide academic credit to our participants that are U.S. citizens and currently enrolled in a four-year accredited academic institution within the U.S.
Provided by Dream Careers in Partnership with Marist College or Menlo College
Contract Academic Credit Included
All participants receive one unit of contract academic credit for participating in the Dream Careers internship program from either Marist College or Menlo College (depending which program you join). Our accredited academic partners will issue the contract academic credit. Marist College is a four-year institution located in Poughkeepsie, New York, and Menlo College is a four-year institution located in the Silicon Valley. All Dream Careers participants are automatically enrolled in a class designed to meet the needs of our participants and employers.
Contract Academic Credit Requirements
Internship courses for academic credit at colleges and professional schools enable students to apply classroom learning in the workplace. Using best practices in experiential learning, students reflect upon the professional environments they will be entering and develop an understanding of the competencies they will need throughout their working lives. They explore the particular practices of a profession or industry and refine or reassess their career goals.
Transferring Course Credit
At the end of the summer, you may request that your unit of credit be transferred from either of our partners to your university. We cannot guarantee that every school will accept course credit from Marist College or Menlo College, so if this is important to you, please check with your school's Registrar before the program begins. Information on how to obtain your transcripts will be provided upon arrival to the program.
