U.S. PROGRAMS
J1 Visa Candidates All international students NOT currently studying in the U.S. are considered J1 Visa candidates

F1 Visa Candidates All international students currently studying in the U.S. are considered F1 Visa candidates
CPT Freshman, Sophomores and Juniors must obtain Curricular Practical Training (CPT) to be eligible for an internship. Check with your school's international student advisor office for more details.
OPT Graduating seniors must obtain Optional Practical Training (OPT) to be eligible for an internship. Check with your school's international student advisor office for more details. Note - F1 students must apply for OPT as early as possible.

BARCELONA PROGRAM 
Passport Must hold a valid passport by time of departure for Barcelona
Language No Spanish language skills required, as some internships are conducted in English. However, candidates with a higher level of Spanish proficiency are eligible for a greater number of internships

COSTA RICA PROGRAM 
Passport Must hold a valid passport by time of departure for Costa Rica
Language No Spanish language skills required, as some internships are conducted in English. However, candidates with a higher level of Spanish proficiency are eligible for a greater number of internships

LONDON PROGRAM
Citizenship U.S., Canada, European Union / European Economic Association
Passport Must hold a valid passport by time of departure for London
Language Must speak, read and write English fluently
Student Enrollment Status You must be currently a full-time student taking at least eight credit hours or more, matriculated towards a degree at an accredited US or Canadian college or university. You must enter Britain to begin the program within one semester of your last period of full-time study - the 'semester of eligibility'.
  • Notes: If you are full-time or enrolled for at least eight credit hours in the Spring Semester, you must enter Britain to begin the program by December 31st of that year. If you are enrolled for the Fall Semester, you must enter Britain no later than June 30th of the following year.
  • Summer school participation cannot generally be considered as a semester of eligibility.
  • Your documentation must show full-time status or a minimum of eight credit hours per week and the current academic period. You must begin the program within one semester of the study period denoted on the proof of student status which you submit.
  • Your semester of eligibility can be part of a US university overseas program, e.g., a study abroad or internship program. If you are participating on a study abroad/internship program in the UK, you are required to exit the UK and re-enter so that the immigration officer can place the correct stamp in your passport to allow you to work legally with your Blue Card.
HONG KONG PROGRAM 
Passport Must hold a valid passport by time of departure for Hong Kong
Language No Chinese language skills required, as some internships are conducted in English. However, candidates with a higher level of Chinese proficiency are eligible for a greater number of internships
