Dreamer Challenge

The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams.
--Oprah Winfrey

Once you have discovered your dream(s), you will be faced with a decision. You can pursue them with fervor and passion, or you can settle for a safer, more traditional life. We assume you will choose the former. This is when you make the choice to be a Dreamer. As part of this choice, you must align your life with the journey upon which you are about to embark. You must get yourself mentally prepared for, and dedicated to, what lies ahead. Vow to pursue your dreams.

What are you going to do?  You can lead the same life everyone around you is leading, you can choose to ignore your dream(s), or you can live your greatest life possible. The choice is yours. Should you choose to pursue your dream(s), the journey will not be simple, but it will be the most fulfilling life you can live.

The characteristics of Choice are:

  • You know what your dream(s) is, but aren’t ready to pursue it
  • You’re faced with a big decision
  • You must make mental and emotional commitment
  • You must make adjustments, such as: move, change majors, change jobs, etc.

The strategies for Choice are:

  • Embrace change
  • See challenges as opportunities
  • Be willing to make sacrifices and take risks
  • Eliminate bad influences from your life
  • Consider all options
  • Seek inspiration
  • Make the choice to be a Dreamer

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

            --Robert Frost

Choosing the less traditional path is far from easy for most people. Conventional wisdom advises against it. Loved ones generally do too. If you’re struggling to make this choice, there are some questions you’ll need to consider.

What’s keeping you from pursuing your dream?
What will your life be like if you don’t pursue it?
What will your life be like if you do, and you succeed?
Which life do you choose?
