Do you have any big tips for preparing for a job interview? What are some common mistakes to avoid?
- Do your homework: research the organization, read press releases, organization’s websites, Google people and the organization
- Dress professionally – what is the organization’s dress code? It’s always better to over dress than to under dress
- Talk less and listen more
- Come prepared with a 20 second intro – why would you be the ideal candidate and fit for the organization?
- Follow-up immediately after the interview with a short email and drop a handwritten thank you note in the mail!
